Well, I've decided to start blogging by writing about the beginning of my adult life.
This decision to start at this point is purely a decision based on timing! Twenty-one years ago in April 1991 I met the love of my life, Ken! We dated for one year and were engaged for one year. Our nineteen year wedding anniversary is approaching on the first of May!
Before we were married, I remember all the older adults giving us unsolicited advice about how their marriages had gone and how they perceive marriage after being married so long. I remember one lady in particular who had been married 60 years telling me how much love grows for your spouse over time and how her spouse completed her in every way. I could not comprehend what she meant at all.
Now, after almost 19 years of marriage I am beginning to discover what she meant. Ken and I are a great match and the Lord put us together for a very special purpose. We have been through so much together. Ken is strong in areas that I do not have strengths in-and he has weaknesses in areas where I am strong. Our faith and desire to know the Lord has drawn us closer to each other more than we could ever imagine. Our love for each other continues to grow with each passing day, and for this we are so thankful to the Lord for this incredible gift!
